Which days will my child need their PE kit?
Monday and Tuesday
How is homework organised?
The children will receive a homework grid each half term. This contains a number of activities that they can complete over half term. I do not expect children to bring their homework grids in each week but will expect them to be brought into school half way through the term and at the end. There will be numeracy, literacy, reading, spellings and topic activities.
What reading should my child be doing each week?
Your child should be reading at least four or five times a week. They have access to a guided reading book from the Teacher, a free choice reading book and a library book. Please can you notify when the child has read. Shining stars will be given to children who have been reading regularly.
How will spellings be sent home and what should I do with them?
A spellings grid will be sent home with new spellings to learn every Friday and tested the following Friday. Each child should practise these every day for 10 minutes.
What topics will my child be enjoying?
The current topic is North America.
How can I contact my class teacher?
Please telephone school to arrange an appointment for either a visit or phonecall.
Alternatively email the teacher – please note that emails will not be responded to after 6pm.
What trips/visitors will my child be doing?
