This academic year we have £31,940
The money will continue to be used to:
- Contribute towards the Learning Mentors salary.
Our Learning Mentor works with many of our Pupil Premium children and parents. She also works with the Safeguarding Leads to support child protection concerns.
- Contribute towards the Teaching Assistants salaries.
Teaching Assistants are well used in school and work to support those Pupil Premium children that are struggling or need some extra support to progress at a similar rate to other children. They work under the guidance of the class teacher to plug gaps or challenge their learning further.
- Where appropriate contributions towards the cost of Educational Visits.
- Where appropriate contributions towards the cost of music tuition.
- Extra reading with a volunteer.
Our academic focus for Ever6 children based on the data this year is Writing. Working with Teachers and Teaching Assistants to support Ever6 make excelled progress.
Spring Term data indicated that 30% of our Pupil Premium children are at age related expectations for writing. Many of our children who are Pupil Premium are also SEN. Our target for the Summer Term is to raise this to 60%.
This will be achieved by targeted writing intervention from classroom teachers and their Teaching Assistant support. The Pupil Premium lead will also be talking to individual pupil premium children on their specific targets.
